『 blessed are the wicked 』

❝ You call us villains, but we’re the heroes of our own story. ❞

« 基本情報 »

Name: Yuu
Villain Name: ???
Quirk: Spellbound
Affiliations: Villains; Divine 13
Relationship/s: —

Yuu is a 19-year-old male who has the ability to control magic. His quirk is related to anything that has to do with witchcraft and sorcery.

As a so-called warlock in his hometown, people had a difficult time accepting the fact that he’s practicing witchcraft. Yuu has mastered some of the things which allows him to further utilize the sets of abilities and skills he has. Although, not everything went easy. His works and experiments always ended up in a mess or most of the time—in a complete failure. Until his neighbors started spreading rumors that he was ‘out of his goddamn mind’ for having such a strange power. This caused him to have a different perspective; seeing the world around him as a corrupt and chaotic dismay.

And it was pretty ugly.

With the powers he had, Yuu believed that he belonged to the other side of the world.

The anti-heroes. The evil ones. The villains.

But right before he pledged an oath to whoever was hearing, he did make one final bow. For weeks he collected the right ingredients. For days he studied the ancient language and different purposes of the runes. For hours he meditated and chanted foreign, eccentric phrases.

Yuu did a pretty good job at calling back the worst of the worst. The evilest presence around town. Allowing them to take control over whichever body they wished to enter. And so his neighbors’ bodies were now nothing but shells. Their souls trapped in the pits of the underworld. About fifty people were no longer themselves, but are reborn into something better—demons possessing bodies of humans and humans with a knowledge of the ancient ones.

It was the perfect plan to spread out the new gospel of the false prophet; that he was now a part of a new world.

In layman’s terms, Yuu’s quirk is to control magic. When in reality, his quirk allows him to /borrow/ the power of magic for a certain period of time. Allowing him to do almost whatever he wants as long as he can successfully do it through the process of sorcery. It's a give-and-take pattern.

The more he wanted to conjure something; the more he needed time and concentration.

To get a better view of what he’s capable of doing, here’s a list.

[ CONJURING ]

necessities: books, the right spells or he’ll be fucked, his thumb ring

When it comes to conjuring things, it’s always divided into two. Things that he has already seen and those that he hadn’t yet. Trying to reappear let’s say a pen from his hand can be an easy task for a guy like him but when it comes to things such as a live centaur or a flying ship, it would be nearly impossible for him to do such things.

[ MANIFESTATIONS ]

necessities: vision, creativity and the right tools

It’s quite similar to /conjuring/, but the composition is different. Manifestations are like ghostly materials. Seemingly realistic when seen, but once touched or felt, the trick is over. Manifestations are much easier to do since it only needs a few things and it isn’t as complicated as conjuring some stuff. This is where he can freely expand his knowledge, even make up things that haven’t existed yet. This part of his magic is all inside his brain after all. Something like projecting an image to the outside world and telling everyone that it’s actually real.

[ ELEMENTAL RUNES ]

necessities: memory, runes

Writing elemental runes over his skin or on someone else, allowing the person to have whichever power the rune possesses. However, he can only use up to three runes at a time. If more than three, then it will strain his body. Making him nauseous, having nose-bleeds, more prone to having schizophrenic attacks, shortness of breath or leaving him completely unconscious.

Each rune only lasts for a good three minutes and after that, everything’s back to normal.

[ CASTING SPELLS ]

necessities: words, phrases, sentences, endless repetition and a whole lot of luck

Also known as; testing his goddamn luck.

An endless cycle of him saying the same words over and over again. Usually to make his power and abilities twice as powerful. But he always has to do it with a magic book in his hand. A magic spell can only be activated if he reads it upside down, for five consecutive times. If he fails in the middle of the process then he has to start from the beginning.

However, he can only do this once per day.

[ RITUALS ]

necessities: language books, probably ancient scrolls and patience

For him, it’s a way of connecting with the other creatures and living things around him. A form of communication. He uses it to gather information or to bargain with the entities he could reach out to.
BUT he can never manipulate the shit out of them. So instead, Yuu lets them manipulate him. Such as letting them control him through his body and mind.

And here’s a list of the things he sucks at.

[ DIVINATION ]

reason/s for not being able to do this: lacks heroism

Divination is more fitting for heroes. Not for villains like him. Using fortune-telling is considered as breaking the law when it comes to his beliefs in the field of witchcraft.

[ NECROMANCY ]

reason/s for not being able to do this: hell told him to literally fuck off

As I’ve said before, he is able to communicate with them or let them control him. But vice versa is always a big no for him. It seems like he /can/ since he mastered the arts of black magic but the truth is, he can’t control the dead. Not a single soul!

[ CLOSE COMBAT BATTLES ]

reason/s for not being able to do this: you’ll know in a bit

Ever since he got his powers, the young warlock became very dependent on his quirk. That’s one of his downfalls as a douchebag. Not such a smartass. He can be pretty sarcastic, loves a good laugh and a few pranks from time to time. But since he became dependent on it, he now has a hard time dealing with fights that are one-to-one combats.

In other words; nullify him, strip him of his powers, manipulate him and control him from the inside? Then anyone can beat the shit out of him with a single punch.

Since Yuu was given a gift—quirk—it was only meant to be used for evil intentions. When he was younger, the more he used his abilities to help the good, it had this strange effect on him. He was becoming weaker. And there was that thin line between good and evil. Whenever he would cross that line and use it for other purposes, it always had a consequence.

It’s a small group of psychopaths to be exact and he’s one of them. After being personally invited by the ‘one who controls time’, he didn’t even give it a second thought. Chrono was also the reason why he got to escape his cell.

Besides, he doesn’t want to mess with time, himself.

Even though he wasn’t used to playing along with a bunch of other people, he thought it was a pretty sweet deal. Even if they were different; came from the opposite sides of the world and god knows what kind of horrible backstory they have—they all had the same intentions.

Good intentions.

At least that’s how he would like to phrase it.

After seeing the video of the Hero Killer’s last moments, it enlightened him. Cleansing the society filled with nothing but corrupted minds is one thing. However, calling out the toughest, strongest hero of all time to face him head-on was such a brave act that Stain became the person he looked up to. That very moment instilled fear and despondency to most of the people who have seen the video, but as for a ‘villain’ like him, it only awed him at so many levels. Leaving him spellbound.
